Banting, Malacca City air quality unhealthy as at 4pm

Banting, Malacca City air quality unhealthy as at 4pm
The air quality in Banting remained at the unhealthy level as at 4pm today, while Malacca City also experienced unhealthy air quality at that time.

The air pollutant index reading at Banting was 103 and that at Malacca City, 102, according to the portal of the Department of Environment.

The DOE portal reported that 39 areas had a moderate API reading, among them Putrajaya (98), Nilai and Cheras (89), Bukit Rambai (87), Port Dickson (85) and Port Klang (82).

An API of between 0 to 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy), 301 and above (hazardous).

The public can refer to the apims.doe.gov.my portal to get the latest API readings.
