50% discount on MPK parking fines

KLANG Municipal Council (MPK) will give a 50% discount in July on the compound notices for various parking offences.
MPK president Datuk Yasid Bidin said the offer was also valid for parking compound notices issued in past years.
For heavy vehicles, Yasid said the council had reduced the fine from RM500 to RM200.
“I hope Klangites and anyone with outstanding parking summonses from MPK use this opportunity to pay up their fines,” he said
On another matter, he urged owners of vacant properties to maintain their premises so that they would not become a nuisance to their neighbours.
“It is important for them to clean up their properties, more so in this festive season as residents will not want such eyesores in their neighbourhood especially with friends and family visiting for Hari Raya,” he added.
Yasid reminded owners of vacant properties that their unkempt premises were a health hazard, being potential breeding sites for mosquitoes and other creatures such as snakes.
